The President has comorbidities, was he given health clearance from his doctor?

Sen. Bong Go clarified that the President’s doctor did allow the injection.

Prior to the COVID-19 vaccination rollout in the country, President Duterte was already vocal about his choice of vaccine brand.

Is Sinopharm among the COVID-19 vaccines allowed by the Food and Drug Administration to be utilized for emergency use authorization or EUA?

According to the news, it has not yet been approved for EUA.

Nevertheless, the Food and Drug Administration did issue the compassionate use license covering ten-thousand Sinopharm vaccine doses intended for the Presidential Security Group or PSG back in February 2021.

Since last year, discussions were already raised with the actions about the PSG’s COVID-19 vaccine when President Duterte disclosed that several Filipino soldiers already took the Sinopharm vaccines. After the talks, the PSG felt compelled to answer the questions from the media and public regarding the matter. However, the President ordered the group to say no more on the subject.
